At this Pocket Pop-Up event, Note in the Pocket will set up tables of clothing and shoes by gender and size. Families will "shop" from the tables to choose free items they like. This is a rare opportunity to see firsthand how our work impacts children and families in need.
Set-up begins at 8:15 and the clothing distribution itself will run from 10:30am-12:30pm. Volunteers will help to set up, direct families to the size tables they need, and tear down after the event.
Spanish-speaking volunteers can arrive at 10:00 (unless you also want to help with set-up). You will interact with families to explain the process, help them find the items they need, etc. You will primarily be asking them what age, gender, and size clothing they need.
There is a possibility that this event will end early (closer to 12:30) if we run out of clothing, so please keep that in mind if you are being dropped off rather than driving yourself.
